Slimeknights should be kept open because it's so much fun! I think SE could afford to keep SK going indefinitely, and we would always be there to help support the next game to reach the US. (or NOT reach the US) There is a lot more but I'm just not into a rant right now. *sigh*

I totally agree. I can't believe they are closing it down. I was just starting to be active again. I've been a member for over a year now, it's kind of heart breaking. What about Swords and DQ9?

Same here... I JUST started to be active in SK... and they're shutting it down now. sigh... I can't complain enough, but I won't do it here.

I too just started getting into the swing of things within the last week or so. I first joined back in May of last year, but only stuck around a couple weeks. With the release of DQM:J, I wanted to make a come back and really participate. But, Square certainly put a stop on that *shakes fist angrily*

I'm one of the newer members, but I really loved the site design and concept. It was one of the only communities I felt like I could actually talk in. I am really going to miss it...I'm really devastated that this happened.

It's my worst nightmare come true. ): Well that could be an overstatement, but I was really getting into the place, and after being there over a year it was kind of a shock to see it ending so soon...

I just hope I can have as much fun at wherever all the Knights leave to. Hopefully here XD; I'm kind of intimidated by those other places..

I'm seriously pissed. I've worked my butt off for the site and while I haven't had as much time lately as I would have liked to do things, I've tried to be involved. First they shut down the Enix forums and now this. I'm really beginning to despise SE of America, since all they do is lie to us, ignore us, and basically kick us in the face because we don't take it up the butt for Final Fantasy. I have to admit that I'm with the people who are now foretelling doom for the DQ series in general. Why the crap would they do this if they were planning on releasing more games here? Hosting is freaking cheap these days, so keeping up the site really wouldn't cost much. If they don't want to pay Affinity, they could just move the dang thing.

I hate to admit it, but since I already have over there...I'm a total emo chick tonight anyway, so this news keeps making me want to cry.

I'm also angry about SK closing(I'd say other words, but that would be against TOS). I don't get it, this would help the DQ Fanbase in the US, help a lot of things for the Series. Now, I'm tired of people blaming Final Fantasy for SK closing, the DQ Series not getting enough publicity, etc.
