Sculpey clay is just a modeling clay that you can purchase at almost any art and crafts store, I believe mine came from hobby lobby. The stuff that I use stays soft until you bake it. Its harder than play-doh I would say its somewhat like sticky tack. After I bake it I paint it and spray it with a glossy ceramic clear coat 1-2 coats.
